

Frances Mae “Fran” Durbin (Dailey), age 71, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on July 9, 1953, in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Fran lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering love for her family, and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew her.
Fran pursued her education at the University of Louisville Speed School, where she laid the foundation for a life of learning and dedication. Her intellect was matched only by her creativity and compassion—qualities that defined her throughout her life.
She shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Robert Durbin Sr., and together they built a loving family. Fran is survived by their children Kim, Tammy, Bobby, and Tiffany; grandchildren Stephanie, Tosha and Joshua, Chandler and Carly, Aidan and Allie; great-grandchildren Cody, Jalynn, and Grayson; and great-great-grandchildren Raelynn and Joshua Junior. She also leaves behind her siblings Charles, Anna, Melinda, Larry, and Cathy. Fran’s daughter Shawn preceded her in death, as did her parents Stanley and Marjorie Dailey; and siblings Bill, Everette, Joseph, Sue Carol, Brenda, and Stanley Clyde.
Family was at the heart of everything Fran did. She cherished every moment spent with loved ones—whether gathered around for holidays or simply enjoying each other’s company. She especially treasured online gaming sessions with her son—a modern tradition that brought them closer across the miles.
A woman of many talents and interests, Fran found joy in arts and crafts and painting. Her creativity flowed through every brushstroke and handmade piece. Music filled her days with comfort and inspiration. She also had a special love for the beach—its peaceful rhythm reflecting the calm strength she carried within.
Above all else, Fran was a faithful servant of God. Her devotion to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She shared God’s love openly with those around her—offering encouragement through both word and deed. Her heart for service was genuine and unwavering.
Those who knew Fran will remember not only her kindness but also her vibrant sense of humor—a light that brightened even the darkest days. Her presence brought warmth to every room she entered.
Fran Mae Durbin’s legacy is one of love rooted in faith—a legacy that lives on through generations of family who carry forward the values she held dear. May her memory bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
A funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1pm-6pm Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home.
