Whitfield, Addie Frances, 102, of Louisville passed from this life on Sunday April 1, 2012. She was the former Frances Stith, a retired librarian at the Louisville Free Public Library and the J. B. Speed Art Museum, and a member of Beechmont Baptist Church for 92 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Loris Nelson Whitfield. She is survived by her children, Jon Alan Whitfield (Rosina); and Jeanne O’Hearn (Charles); 8 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Meadowview and especially Dr. Jane Cornett and Glory Erbele for their excellent care. A service to celebrate Frances’ life will be held at 12 pm Tuesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
