Frank H. Bittner passed away at the age of 85 after a 5 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He is survived by his three children, Lindsey, Leighand Dean, and will forever be loved and missed. He is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Willa Bland Bittner.
Frank served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1944-1946 and was a graduate of Male High School andthe University of Louisville.
Frank’s great-grandfather, Gustave Bittner, started the Louisville based fine furniture store in the 1850’s, G. Bittner and Sons, now called “Bittners”.
Frank’s career advancement with a legal publishing company, Commerce Clearing House, brought his immediate family to Denver, CO in 1970. His exuberant outlook on life, his love for family, jazz music, golf and his incredible sense of humor will always be remembered. He was the greatest and most loving father and friend a person could have.
Frank’s Celebration of Life service will be at noon on May 24, 2012 at graveside in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road.
