

Junie was born on September 7, 1930, in Fern Creek, Kentucky to the late Frank W. Fisher, Sr., & Elsie Frances Lewis Fisher.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joyce Marie Maynor Fisher; sons, Chris (Vicki) and David (Shari); sister, Mary Newlen; 8 grandchildren; cousins; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elsie Fisher, and sister, Doris Ballard.
Junie was a man of excellent work ethics and started working at the age of 12 at Breitenstein Farms as a farm hand. Then he worked at Fisher’s Drive-In, serving ice cream and sandwiches. He was a milk delivery man at Sealtest for almost 20 years. He then worked as a chemical operator at B. F. Goodrich, where he retired. Junie was in the Army National Guard for 9 years. He loved helping at church with his boys’ RA group and was a troop leader for Boy Scouts. Junie’s hobbies were fishing, going to Lake Cumberland, watching car races, and tending garden cows at the farm in Meade County. He was a big family man, loved family gatherings, and loved to take Joyce to the Smokey Mountains to see the fall foliage. Junie took pride in thinking he could fix anything and everything around the house and the lake house. He had a lovable and unique sense of humor! He will be terribly missed by everyone who knew him!
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40213. A service to honor the life of Junie will be held on Wednesday, January 10th at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Junie will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
