Franklin D.R. Jones Sr.

Jones, Franklin D.R. Sr., 81 entered into eternal rest on October 8, 2015. Frank was a loving father and grandfather. He attended Alabama A&M University, was an electrician for over 35 years, and also served in the Army. Frank was a hard worker who took pride in being able to fix numerous things. He was also an avid golfer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Chrystal Bell Jones; brothers, Clarence and William Jones, Harry and James Childress; and sisters, Dollie Scruggs and Willie Pearl Acklin.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Karen Washington and Franklin Jones Jr.; grandchildren, Chante, Michael, Terrell, and Charne; great grandchildren; Aujah, Zaniah, Dannysha, DeAngelo, Christopher, Derion, and Terrell Nathan Jr.; and siblings, Reverend Lawrence Childress and Helen Childress.

A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-8:00pm and Wednesday from 11:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
