

He professed his faith at an early age with the Methodist church. Was an Army Veteran, a member of the Berlin Veterans Association, member of the Teamsters Union #89 and 314. Fred loved to travel; he has been to every state except Alaska. He loved to fish, read, boat, water ski and garden, a true outdoor enthusiast. He was up for anything and enjoyed life to its fullest.
He is preceded in death by parents, Whit and Neva Lee Potter, daughter, Pamela Potter Lewis and brother, Claude Potter.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Potter, granddaughter, Laura Lewis Hall (Jeff), great grandchildren, Austin Miller, Quinton Miller (Beverlie), Xavier Santos, Courtney Hall, Mackenzie Hall and four great –great grandchildren, Bentile, Brayden, Aria and Carter.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be conducted at 2pm, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., with interment to follow at Resthaven memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 5-8pm on Monday, October 6, 2014 and from 12 until service time the day of the funeral.
