Freddie Jean Mooney

Freddie Jean Mooney, 63, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021. She was loving, loyal, and very giving towards everyone she encountered. She loved yard sales, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of New Greater First Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church and Christ Way Baptist Church. Freddie Jean was a foster mom to over 40 children.

Freddie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Mollie Walker and Edward Long; and sister, Druzella Mae Grimes.

Left to cherish Freddie Jean’s memory are Jerry Ceesay; her two sons, Quan Andrew Founder (Siglinde), Che Vincent Founder (Helana); grandchildren, Jackson, Xavier, Kima, Kaden and Trey; nieces, Charity Dawson (Frederick), Regina Winters (Johnny); cousin, Michael Combs (Helen); great niece, Rena Jones (Chris); great nephews, Batavi Combs, James Taylor, Dewayne Page, Frederick Dawson; great-great niece, Cheyanne Jones; great-great nephews, Donta Combs, Ryan Combs, and BJ Combs and a host of other extended family and loving friends.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Evergreen Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
