Fredrick Dean "Fred" Aubrey Sr.

Fredrick Dean “Fred” Aubrey, Sr. 78, of Louisville was born on December 27, 1940 and passed away Monday December 23, 2019 after a short struggle with cancer. Fred served his country in the Marines before becoming a Millwright. As a welder he became involved with the Millwrights Union as a representative, eventually being elected to the Presidency of his local chapter. Fred was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon L. Aubrey and a son Fredrick Dean Aubrey, Jr. He is survived by his son Darren Aubrey, stepdaughter’s Angela M. Basil and her husband Aaron R. Basil; and Sheri Iden; a stepson, Paul Gibbs; a sister Judy Loyall a brother Raymond Barmore; grandchildren and his extended family and friends. Funeral services for Fred will be held at noon on Monday December 30, 2019 in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Interment with military honors will follow in the KY Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Sunday.
