

Garrett Anthony Hillebrand, 77, of Louisville, passed away September 2, 2020. He was a retired truck driver, having driven for Mclean Trucking, ABF Trucking, and the Teamsters. He was a Vietnam Army veteran, and a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Lively Hearts Seniors Club. He also enjoyed time with his friends at the YMCA and his bunko group.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Joey Hillebrand and Ralf Hillebrand; daughter, Michelle Hillebrand; parents, Joseph and Mary Hazel Hillebrand; grandchild, Senjen Lacefield; and his brother, Joseph Lawrence Hillebrand.
He was survived by his wife, Jane Carolyn Hillebrand, who passed away three days later on September 5, 2020. Left to cherish his memory is his children, Larry Hillebrand, Sean Lacefield(Petra), and Christy Lacefield; grandchildren, Jojo, Tyler, Adrian, and Melanie; 6 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Rosalie Eddington, Carol Shanks, and Linda Wiederkehr(John).
A funeral mass will be held at 10am Friday, September 11, 2020 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY with private burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-8pm Thursday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Memorial donations in his memory can be made to American Lung Association or to St. Rita Catholic Church.
