Gay Higginbotham, 94, of Louisville, passed away September 22, 2026. She was a retired mail carrier for USPS and a member of Highview Baptist Church. She always put Christ first in her life and loved sharing that with others. She will be remembered as being a fun, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as being very creative and artistic, watercolor painting being her favorite. Her paintings are all over the country.
Gay was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Higginbotham. She is survived by her daughter, Cheri Duke; son, Lee Higginbotham(Nikki); grandchildren, Emory Higginbotham(Lindsey) and Wesley Higginbotham(Rachel); 6 great-grandchildren; and step grandchildren, Greg Duke and Megan Larkin.
Funeral service will be 2pm Saturday, September 26, 2026 with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am-2pm that Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Gay's memory can be made to Highview Baptist Church.
