Aunt Gertie was my mom's little sister and occupies a sizable portion of my memory bank, dating back to some of my earliest memories. She was so much like my mom (Margie) in appearance and personality that when she passed, it was like losing my mom all over again.
Sadly, I know how Gertie's kids feel, and my heart goes out to each and every one of them.

Jan, Sharon, Mickey, Johnny and Joe I was so sorry to hear about Gertie passing away. She was such a sweet lady and I loved her. I remember living next door to her on 30th Duncan when Tina was a baby. I remember seeing her at all parties involving our families. The last time I saw her was at Eric and Mattie’s wedding reception and she was so happy to be there. May God be with all of you at this time of sorrow and may Gertie Rest In Peace.
