Mrs. Thacker was born in Johnetta, KY on September 30, 1925. She was retired from the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, where she worked in the claims division. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #573, and Strathmoor Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Bill, and by five brothers and three sisters.
Gladys is survived by her sister, Oshie McCormick of Xenia, OH and her brother, Franklin Owens (Jane), of Richmond, IN.
A celebration of life service will be held for Gladys on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Arch L. Heady @ Resthaven Funeral Home at 4400 Bardstown Road in Louisville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 2:00PM on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made in Gladys' name to the Crusade for Children and/or the Kosair Childrens Hospital.
