Glen Rex Allen Jr. found peace on April 22, 2025, surrounded by his family. A native of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, he was preceded in death by his father, Glen “Bill” Allen Sr.; his mother, Pauline (Hayes) Allen; and his brother, Sammy Allen.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Kameron (Jason) of Louisville, and his three adored grandchildren, Gwyneth, Griffin, and Georgia, who knew him as “Pop” and were the center of his world.
Glen was a man of few words, but when he spoke, he meant what he said. He was a master at fixing anything and took pride in sharing his knowledge. In his earlier years, he served in the Marines, where he worked as a master printer, before continuing his career in various machinery roles, one of which brought him to Louisville. It was there that he embraced his most cherished role—being “Pop”—finding his greatest joy in time spent with his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and dedication for Kameron and his beloved “G’s.”
