Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Mark D. and Sandra Bates; and his brother, Mark M. Bates. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Beth Bates; son, James Logan Bates; brother, Shaun Bates(Rhonda); niece, Nicole Kerr(Ryan); nephew, Matthew Bates(Kat); and ex sister-in-law, Karen Bigelow(Paul).
Funeral service will be 12pm Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm-8pm Monday, September 8, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home. Memorial donations in his memory can be made to American Cancer Society.
