

Hannible “Edd” Foley, 89, of Louisville passed away May 31, 2012 at Westport Place. He was born on December 7, 1922 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Hansford Foley and Flora Brown Foley. He was the youngest of ten children. It was during World War II, serving in the United States Army, that he met the love of his life and beloved wife of 67 years, Dora G. Patterson.
He graduated from Lindsey Wilson College and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown College. After graduation he earned a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville. He served as pastor at Burner’s Chapel Baptist Church, Monterey Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Horse Cave as well as numerous rural churches. His last calling was to serve as On-Call Chaplain at the Louisville VA Hospital for Dr. Davis. He served on the Board of Trustees for Campbellsville College, a mason and was a member of the Ministerial Association of Kentucky.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Larry (Sharon) Foley and Sharon (Kirk, deceased) Morgan; grandchildren, Steven (Emily) Foley, Jimmy (Lucy) Dunn, Eric (Ashlie) Richerson and Michelle (Chris) Bay; and three great-grandchildren, Logan, Jamison and Ella.
A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2pm on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 at the funeral home.
