He retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Master Sergeant. Served our country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, where he earned a purple heart.
He is preceded in death by his wife Christine Browning Farmer and his parents, Earl and Ethel Farmer, a sister, Ella Mae Chitwood as well as four other siblings.
Harold is survived by his children, Deberah Sue Farmer, Harold Loyd Farmer Jr., (Melanie). James Clyde Farmer and Tamera Kay Shaw (Ron). Grandchildren, Adam Keith Farmer, Andrew Scott Farmer and Caitlin Marie Huber, a brother, Russell Farmer (Dora Sue), nephew, William Russell Farmer and a niece, Wendy McRight.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
