Heather Davis Cook

Heather Davis Cook passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Heather was born to Madge Osborne and George Richard Davis, who preceded her in death. She grew up in Fern Creek and graduated from Fern Creek High School in 1972. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Daniel Cook Sr., with whom she shared a lifetime of love, adventure, and cherished memories.

Together, Heather and Dan proudly co-owned Superior Van & Mobility with Sam and Kathy Cook, a family business dedicated to helping individuals and families regain independence and improve their quality of life through mobility solutions. She took great pride in the opportunity it gave them to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Known affectionately to so many as “Feather,” Heather found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved relaxing by the river with a glass of champagne or a martini, hunting for the perfect bargain at TJ Maxx, and spending time with her many dear friends. She adored her sweet dog, Rocky, who was her constant companion and brought her endless happiness.

Above all, Heather treasured her family. She is survived by her stepchildren, Sam Cook (Kathy), Connie Foley (Royce), Daniel Cook Jr. (Cathy), and Lisa Jones (Donnie). She is also survived by her half-sisters, Leslie and Irene.

Heather was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren. One of her greatest blessings was living to witness her grandchildren, Allison Cook Wibbels (Andrew) and Alex Cook (Shea), marry the loves of their lives. In a beautiful full circle moment, each walked down the aisle to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley, the same song that held a special place in Heather and Daniel’s hearts and forever symbolized their enduring love.

Heather’s warmth, generosity, quick wit, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched and, in the traditions, stories, and love she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral at 2:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. Private burial will follow services at Resthaven Memorial Park.
