at Nazareth Nursing Home- Clifton Campus. She was 92 years old.
Helen was born in Louisville. Raised in Germantown. She was a Girl Scout and became a troop leader. Helen worked for Louisville’s Gas Company. She married Wesley Ball, also from Louisville, in 1957. They had one son and moved to New Mexico for his health. Helen got a job at the Gas Company of New Mexico. In 1978 the family moved to Nashville for Wes to become the Executive Secretary of the Tennessee Grocers Association now TGCSA. Helen helped get the business started and became the Head of the Coupon Processing Department. She developed a tracking system that other states adopted. Wes and Helen retired and moved back to Louisville in 2006 to be around their extended families. Helen loved the outdoors, driving, National Parks, the Southwest and planning road trip vacations in the USA.
She is survived by her son Wilber Ball and his partner Jason Weber. Sisters and brother in-laws : Doris & Larry Siers, Barbara Edelen, Bonnie & Bobby Heady, Sister-in-law Linda Harrington, Brother and sister-in-law David & Shirley Harrington. As well as 3 generations of nieces and nephews.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 11-4PM on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218, with a funeral to follow at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel. A private interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
