Helen "Elvira" Mello

Helen Elvira Mello, age 95, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, May 30, 2022. Helen was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. She is known as the person who cared for everyone.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, William "Bill" Mello; parents, John and Mae Freibert; children, Wayne Mello, Jonathon Mello, Mary Mello; and 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Left to cherish Helen's memory are her sons, William "Billy" Mello (Joanne), Kevin Mello, Keith Mello (Malynda), Jeffrey Mello; an amazing number of loving grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren; a sister, Cecilia Nadine Stevens; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Helen will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40219. A second visitation will occur Monday, June 6, 2022 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40219 with burial following at Brookland Cemetery, 4897 N. Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165.
