Born in Shelby County, KY to Lisker and Hattie Carpenter, the youngest of four children.
Preceded in death by husbands, Norman Swan and Donald Funk; sister, Anna Catherine Williams; and brother, George Carpenter.
She is survived by a sister, Sara Westerman; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral home, 4400 Bardstown Road. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Garden Mausoleum.
