GROVES, Helen Copley, 97, of Lithia, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was born and raised in Paducah, KY. She lived in Louisville, Ky. for 63 years before moving to Lithia in 2003.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. Groves of Louisville, brother Maurice Copley of Metropolis, IL, sisters Mildred Hargrove of Phoenix, AZ and Frances Shaffer of Fremont, OH.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Groves Sober and husband, Charles of Lithia, FL; grandsons Richard Sober (Jennifer) of Atlanta, GA and Michael Sober (Natalie) of Charleston, SC, great-grandson Grant Towsend Sober and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Carson Sober of Atlanta and great-granddaughter Cathryn Lynn Sober and great-grandson Riley Charles Sober of Charleston, SC; ten nieces and nephews.
She is a member of the Louisville Chapter B PEO Sisterhood. She is a member of Grace Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Private family funeral services will be conducted at Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville, KY.
