Helen Alberta Little

Helen‎ A.‎ Little‎ 93, ‎ passed‎ away‎ peacefully at her home‎ September‎ 22,‎ 2018.‎ The Matriarch and jewel of the family, Helen‎ was‎ a‎ strong‎ and‎ beautiful‎ woman. A loving and wonderful‎ wife, ‎ mother, ‎ grandmother, ‎ and‎ great-grandmother who will be forever missed. A proud prior switchboard operator for the railroad that became the theme for many family trips, gatherings and a birthday surprise caboose ride featured on the local news. An avid lover of sweets and master of dice, cards, and bingo games to her family, especially her Grandchildren.

Helen‎ was‎ preceded‎ in‎ death‎ by‎ her‎ husband‎ of‎ 56‎ years‎ Gilbert‎ Little,‎ son‎ Michael‎ Little,‎ parents‎ Forrest‎ and‎ Gertrude‎ Grose,‎ brothers‎ Junior‎ and‎ Wm.‎ B. Grose and‎ sister‎ Doris‎ Lea Grose, two nieces Linda McNulty and Sue Gootee, and one nephew Larry Grose.

Helen‎ leaves‎ behind‎ to‎ cherish‎ her‎ memory‎ her‎ daughters‎ Trudy‎ Johnston‎ (John)‎ and‎ Maryhelen‎ Schmidt,‎ adoring‎ granddaughters‎ April‎ Reesor‎ (Dennis),‎ Krista‎ Matthews‎ (Johnathan)‎, Kellie‎ Robinson‎ (Jonathon) ‎and Megan Burley (Joe), and‎ great-grandchildren‎ who‎ lovingly‎ called‎ her‎ "GG”, Ethan,‎ Dylan,‎ and‎ Lillian‎ Matthews,‎ Kipton‎ Robinson,‎ Jacob‎ and‎ Devan‎ Reesor.‎ She‎ is‎ also‎ survived‎ by‎ her‎ nephew‎ Ronnie‎ Grose.‎

Service‎ to‎ honor‎ the‎ life‎ of‎ Helen‎ will‎ be‎ held‎ Thursday,‎ September‎ 27,‎ 2018‎ at‎ 12pm‎ in‎ the‎ chapel‎ of‎ Arch‎ L.‎ Heady‎ at‎ Resthaven‎ Funeral‎ Home‎ with‎ burial‎ to‎ follow‎ in‎ Calvary‎ Cemetery.‎
