Henry John Heit, 81, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011. He was an alumni of St. Xavier High School and University of Louisville. He retired from General Electric as an electrical engineer after more than 30 years of service, and was a Navy and Air Force veteran.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 54 years, Janice Heit.
Survivors include his children, David Henry Heit and Martha Jane Sauter(Richard); and his grandsons, Tommy, Danny, and Jeffrey Sauter.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10am Monday in the chapel of the Arch L. Heady & Son-Cralle Funeral Home 2428 Frankfort Ave. with interment to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6pm Sunday at the funeral home.
The family would appreciate any memorial donations in Mr. Heit's honor to be made to the American Legion Highland Post 201.
