Herbert Leon Mynk

Herbert Leon Mynk, age 64, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 after a valiant fight with Leukemia. He was a father, brother, son, grandfather, and uncle. He had a dry sense of humor and a beautiful soul. He loved his job and all the people he worked with at Baptist and Norton Hospital. But his greatest love was to his two daughters and his five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Allen Mynk, and his grandparents, Marilla and Fred Schmidt, and Edgar McCoy. Surviving him are his daughters, Jenna and Janna Mynk; his mother Frankie Whitlow, sister Dee Robinson; his grandchildren, Alexa, Brandon, Landyn, Abel and Bailie, and his nephews, William and Erik Robinson.

A special recognition to University of Louisville Hospital 5 East BMT unit and Dr. Robert Emmons, University of Louisville Hematology Oncology for their excellent care of our dad.

A visitation for Herbert will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213. A funeral service to honor the life of Leon will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 12 noon at the funeral home. Leon will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
