

Herman Joseph Kundert, Jr., age 91, passed away March 26, 2025. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 30, 1933, to the late Herman and Louise Kundert. Herman served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Herman loved spending time with his family, taking scenic drives with his wife, the University of Louisville Cardinals, and cars.
Herman is preceded in death by his parents; Herman Joseph Kundert, Sr. and Louise Kundert, and his daughter; Nancy Ackerman.
Left to cherish Herman’s memory are his loving wife of 57 years; Ina Kundert, daughter; Jean Kundert (Terry), stepson; Ron London (Pam), grandchildren; Emily Swaim (Hunter), Jessica Kemmish (Chad), William Ackerman (Brandy), Sarah Spanyer (Adam), and Amanda Brentlinger (Josh), and great-grandchildren; Wyatt Swaim, Lainey Swaim, Ainsley Kelley (Ryan), Haley-Kate Kemmish, Dylan Kemmish, Hudson Kemmish, Keri Ann Ackerman, Elizabeth Ackerman, DJ Szypulski, and Dean Spanyer.
Visitation for Herman will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 1:00pm-2:00pm with a funeral to follow directly at 2:00pm. Herman will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
