Houston “Jerry” V. Cole Sr., 93, passed away on September 1, 2026. Born March 30, 1933, Jerry lived a long life marked by steady devotion to faith and family, and had retired from a career at L G & E.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene, and his sons, Jerry Wayne Cole and Huey Cole. He is survived by his sons, Keith (Jodi) Cole and Kevin (Tracie) Cole, as well as several grandchildren.
For 80 years, Jerry was a member of Third Avenue Baptist Church—an enduring commitment that reflected a life anchored in belief, community, and constancy.
Visitation will be held at Third Avenue Baptist Church, 1726 S 3rd St, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Funeral Service will follow at the same location starting at 1:00 pm. Private burial is scheduled.
The family ask that memorial contributions be made to Hosparus of Louisville in Jerry's memory.
