Howard Leo, 84, passed away Friday September 14, 2012 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Howard was born January 07, 1928 to the late, Ray and Myrtle Kirby Haverly in Corbin, Kentucky . He retired from GE as a Procurement Manager after many years of dedicated employment, was a long time member of Jeffersontown Christian Church, and served our country in the U.S. Navy.
Three brothers, Curtis, Elmo and Gorman Haverly; and granddaughter Karen Haverly precede him in death.
Along with his wife of 58 years, Thelma Ann Hyde; left to carry on his memory are children, Ken (Jill), Steve (Libby), Douglas, and David (Gale) Haverly, Sandra Mills (Mark), Ann Bowlds (Rob), Greg, Todd and Brad (Jen) Haverly; 20 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the East Louisville Dialysis, Dr. Roy Bowling and Jeffersontown Christian Church.
A service celebrating the life of Howard will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
