Hubert Leon Wells

Hubert Leon Wells, 92, was born on November 1, 1925 in Hart county KY to the Late Bolivar and Vera (Buckner) Wells, and passed from this life on April 21, 2018. Mr. Wells was a retired machinist with the old Naval Ordinance where he worked for 30 years, a member of Southside Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Roberta Wells; and sons, Daron and Kevin Wells. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Donna Sollers (Jim), Terry Wells (Becky), Merle Wells (Debbie), and Lisa Meek (Tony); a daughter In-law, Becky Wells; grandchildren, Nick and Greg Darnell, Christie Trees, Sallie Whitworth, Jeff Wells, Chaz Epperson, Emily Gray, Sarah Wells, Lori McCormick, Amy Bond, and Kyle Meek; and several great and great great grandchildren. Funeral service for Mr. Wells will be held at 11 am Wednesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial next to his wife Roberta in Evergreen Cemetery.
