My memories of Iva are happy ones. My dog, Jax Bell thought Iva was the cat’s meow. Whenever he saw her, he ran as fast as he could toward her. I was always scared he was gonna knock her down, but Iva said, Jax knows what to do. There he was sliding to a stop at her feet so she could scratch his ears. She was the kindest, smartest, sweetest soul ever. She loved her family so fiercely. She was proud of all of them.

My beautiful Momma how do I begin to say goodbye to you. Thank you for being the most incredible mom in the world. While it’s true you couldn’t give me a lot of money you gave me the most perfect love imaginable and that was and is a priceless gift. You were the kind of mom that pretended not to be hungry so I could have more to eat, the kind of mom that told me I was beautiful no matter what I looked like, that made me feel special every time I saw you, and made excuses for my bad behavior because you refused to see anything but good in me. Thank you for loving me like you did. I adored you and will treasure our time together. Until we meet again, I love you so much.
Love your baby❤️ Theresa

I am Theresa's brother-in-law and have been blessed to know Iva. She was such a sweet heart and always made me smile. I was so interested in hearing about her youth and life experiences. She could captivate your soul with her stories and that wonderful smile.
She is the definition of a strong woman who made the most of what she had. Her children are the best way to know what a good person she was. Above all she will be missed and remembered as the wonderful person she was. I know she adored my brother Mike as she talked about him like a son.
We have not been able to see her for almost a year due to Covid. It makes me sad that I didn't get that time with her. I miss her a lot and wish the family peace in knowing that she will see them all again. God bless her and the family.
