It is with great sadness we inform you of the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
Jaikrishindas Ramchand Khiani, son of late Ramchand & Kishnibai Khiani, one of nine children, passed away on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at the age of 92 years. Jaikrishin was a devoted husband to Veenu for 52 years, and a loving father & father-in-law to Deepa Khiani Ramchandani a.k.a Deepa Jaikrishindas Khiani, Kamal Khiani (Jamie), Sanjay Khiani (Sheetal), Laveena Khiani, Jyoti Heiple (Mark).
He was the loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren: Krisha and Harshan “Hershey” Ramchandani; Anjali, Raina, Lukis, & Elina “Ellie” Khiani; Rohan & Rajan Khiani; and Kareena & Maya Heiple.
He was an entrepreneur whose ultimate goal was to provide his kids with a solid foundation for a prosperous future. In 1979, he stepped outside the comfort of India and took a chance by moving his family to the United States, working tirelessly to achieve this goal. He was willing to sacrifice his comforts to ensure his children’s future, as there was nothing more important to him. His success in this endeavor is evident in the loving adults his children have become.
Those whose lives he touched would describe him as: kind, generous, loving, loyal, wise, honorable, patient, selfless, and honest.
He enjoyed watching Bollywood movies, learning from reading, and thirst for new knowledge. His kids and grandchildren always brought a smile to him. He was devoted to the Hindu Faith. He loved his wife’s cooking.
Some of his famous quotes – “Don’t depend on Sunday,” “Haste makes waste,” “Kal kee baat kal – Carpe diem, live for today,” “Achha nahee lagtaa ha, nahee karo – If someone does not like it, do not do it,” Nahee maaloom ha, to puchho – if you don’t know the answer, just ask,” Ayushaman Bhava – Live long life.”
His legacy is the best things in life aren’t things. He will be greatly missed but his memory will live on through his loved ones.
The family would like to thank the Hosparus team and all the caretakers for their care and compassion during his last journey.
