He was a retired Labor Relations Representative for the Pillsbury Co. and was a member of the VFW post 3281.
James was preceded in death by his first wife; Wilma Anderson, and son; Jessie Cottrell.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Frankie Basham Anderson, children; Elvis Cottrell(Cathy), Porter Cottrell, James Anderson Jr. (Shelly), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers; Mathie Anderson(Linda), Franklin Anderson(Sharon), and a host of many other family members and friends.
A Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son FH. 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY 40219 with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8pm and Thursday from 9:30am until time of service at the funeral home.
