James T Borders

Born to the late Margureite and Norris Robert Borders, Sr on September 5, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky.

James is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Lillian Frances Borders. Also preceding him in passing is sister, Doris Asbury, and two brothers, Donald and Norman Borders, along with his step-son Thomas Robards.

James leaves behind to cherish his memory his sisters; Juanita Sparks, Rose Borders, Maureen Dusel, Elizabeth Whitlock, and Martha Borders, daughter in law; Karen Robards, his stepchildren; Doug Robards and Gary Robards, step grandchildren; Alexis, Isaiah, Justin, Bo, and Tyler Robards, along with many nieces and nephews.

James was a lover of sports, his favorite being basketball, and he loved all things politics.

A visitation for James will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 15, 2024 at 1:30 PM, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218 officiated by Rev. Rodney Alexander. A graveside service will follow on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40213.
