James Arnold Cash, III, age 72 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026. James had several jobs as a technical writer, a safety director for Cat Tech, Amatrol, and ended his career at Shelby County Vocational School, teaching industrial maintenance.
He was confirmed at St. James Episcopal Church in Pewee Valley, a Kentucky Colonel, and very active with his elaborate train layouts, and building projects.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife: Lorie Cash; his brothers: Stephen Cash (Roni Ann) and Mike Cash (Kim); many long time family and friends and of course, Mr. Cash thought all his students were the best!
A visitation will be held from 1-3 PM Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218. A service in honor of James will begin at 3 PM at the funeral home. James will be laid to rest privately at Resthaven Memorial Park.
