James D. “Papaw” “Jimmy” Chancellor, 55, passed away August 15, 2010. Jimmy was born July 25, 1955 in Hartford, KY. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed at KV Flooring. He was a member of the Knights AC and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Carson Chancellor.
He is survived by his Mother and Stepfather, Fern and Stanley Stengel; his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Angela (Leo) and sons, Rodney (Carol), Shane (Stacey) and Frank (Jaime) Crawford; grandchildren, Andrew, Leo, Cameron, Hannah, Elijah, Mariah, Nate, Brittany, and Courtney; one great-grandchild, Neveah; his siblings, Patricia Nishimori (Marcus), Sharon Servos, Carolyn Skaggs, Mike Chancellor, Steve Chancellor (Brenda) and Scott Stengel (Laura); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves extended family and a host of beloved friends that will forever remember his spirit.
A celebration of his life will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with inurnment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
