James Daniel “Danny” Cissell, Sr., 71 passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his home. He was the retired owner of J. D. Cissell Tree Service, and a member of American Turners. He was never more content than spending time with his family, on the farm, or on a golf course.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Lola Hayes Cissell, the love of his life of 42 yrs, Jo Ann, and his sister, Barbara Jean Powers.
He is survived by his childen, Danny Cissell Jr (Krysteen) and Darren Cissell (Abby), his brother Joseph Cissell (Marleen) and his 4 grandchildren; Allyson, Tyler, Matthew and Will – who lovingly called him Poppa.
A service to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at 10 am Saturday, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with burial at Duncan Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 pm Friday.
