James "Jim" E. Davis, 75, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 6, 2013, at Friendship Manor, with his loving family by his side. He was a native of Knoxville, TN, and a U. S. Army veteran. Jim had retired from sales for LaCrosse Footwear. Jim was a member of Southeast Christian Church and enjoyed spending Saturdays with the Men's Bible Study group. He and his wife Bev, hosted in their home a bible study that he enjoyed sharing not only the Bible, but the fellowship with other Christians. He was an avid golfer and taught all of his grandchildren and family how to play, holding golf clinics every year for them, and he was a U of K fan.
Cherishing his memory is his loving wife of 27 years, Beverly Hartlauf Davis; children, Keith (Natalia) Davis, Lori (Mike) Mehlbauer, Laura (Billy) Myers, Kim (Eddie) Brewer, Bryan (Hilari) Neuner ; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
