

James was known for his selfless nature and hard-working spirit, which touched the lives of many. He enjoyed spending time at the lake and with his Cannons Point Community.
James is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Ann Duncan; daughters, Leslie Schrenger (Mike), Tracy Bleuel (Bob), Kris Moore (Tom) and Bobbie Fisher; grandchildren, Eric Schrenger (April), April Schadt (Dustin), Matthew Schrenger (Tessa), Alisha Gray (Sean), Brittney Moore, Zachary Moore, Cory Bleuel, Gabrielle Bleuel, Hannah Gatz (Brandon), Lexie Fisher; and 19 great-grandchildren, Aiden Schrenger, Avery Rose Schrenger, Anderson Schrenger, Alex Schrenger, Atlas Schrenger, Callie Schrenger, Makenzie Overstreet (Judson), Macy Schadt, Malin Schadt, Baylor Schadt, Liam Schrenger, Landon Schrenger, Logan Schrenger, Stella Schrenger, Camilla Schrenger, Avila Rose Schrenger, Nora Ann Gray, Brielle Nicole Gray, James Edward (Tripp) Gray.
Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213, on December 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. A service to honor the life of James will follow at 12 noon on Thursday. James will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
James will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His legacy of devotion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
