He was a retired supervisor for Henry Vogt Machine Company and a member of Rockford Lane Baptist Church. He was a member of Suburban Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite, and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris Sarver Embry; a son, Kevin Embry (Carrie); granddaughters, Dakotah and McKenna Embry; sisters, Pauline Smith (Wooster, OH), Lois Ashlock, and Lucille Childers; and brothers, Leonard Embry (Yuciapa, CA) and Lowell Embry.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, followed by burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Monday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
