Havel, James K. “Jim”, 81, entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2015. Jim worked in the printing business for over 40 years, founding Jim Havel Printing later in life. He served 8 years with the Army National Guard. Jim was also a volunteer fire fighter for over 40 years with the Highview Fire Department, where he reached the rank of captain and served on the Board of Directors.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Havel Kehl and sister, Mary Bier.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Darlene; children, Connie Parish (Lex), Amy Havel, and Scott Havel; granddaughter, Catherine Havel; 7 sisters; and 7 brothers.
A Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:00am at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7500 Tangelo Drive. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-8:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery following the mass.
