James is preceded in death by his parents; children, Bryan Johnson, Richard Joe Dake, and David Michael Dake; sister, Monica; and brother Johnny.
Left to cherish James's memory are his wife of 27 years, Helena Johnson; grandson, Gabriel Johnson; and granddaughters, Jamie Dake and Alisha Dake.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2025, from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 am.
