James Kenneth Klein Sr.

Born on June 26, 1935, to the late Louis and Anna Klein.

Jim is preceded in death by his brothers Buddy, Mike, and Bob Klein. Also preceding him was Betty Stout, the mother of his children. Jim's legacy continues through his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda Klein, his children Jim Klein Jr, Karen Dixon (Patrick), Kathy Klein, and Kevin Klein (Cindy), his adored 6 grandchildren, Bryan, Brittany, Blair, Brandon, Collin, and Cameron, and his cherished 6 great-grandchildren.

A proud 1953 graduate of Flaget High School, Jim furthered his education at Bellarmine University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1957. His academic achievements laid the groundwork for his future when he opened Jim Klein Lock Safe and Alarm.

Jim enjoyed time spent with his family, spirited support for University of Louisville football and basketball teams, and a love for travel, particularly to Clearwater Beach, Florida, where he and Brenda lived for some time.

He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service for James will take place on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Rd, Louisville, KY 40207.
