Jim was a pilot for the Army Air Corps during World War II. He served as a “Hump Pilot” flying supplies from Burma to China. He was also a retired Aircraft Engineer for McDonnell Douglas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, June Kolb, their children, Scott Kolb and Pam Holien (Ken), grandchildren, Paul Holien (Kristy) and Mark Holien, great grandchildren, Kamren, Kaleb and Kendall.
A funeral service to celebrate Jim’s life will be conducted on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with interment in Hebron Illinois, Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Sunday.
