James Eugene Lucado

Jim was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance for 39 years. He loved to spend time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and could always be counted on to bring a smile out when it was most needed. Whether it be his coworkers at State farm, neighbors, friends from church, people he met through church at the nursing home or his family, Jim considered them all family. He tried to keep in touch and visit as much as possible. He will be missed, but will live on in our hearts through the stories that we tell and the love we have for him.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his beloved wife: Sally Elizabeth Lucado.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Gary Lucado (Shannon) and Michelle Sneed; his grandchildren: Shelby Lucado, Sydney Lucado, and Daniel McCullouch.

A service will be held in Jim's honor at 4 PM Friday, January 23, 2026 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12-4 PM at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest privately at Resthaven Memorial Park.
