He proudly served in the United States Navy for 30 years and later was employed as a Safety Engineer. Ted was a member of American Legion Post #244, Veterans of Foreign Wars #1170 in Middletown, Disabled American Veterans, Masonic Abraham Lodge #8, and the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his two sons, Jim McCamant (Gail), Richard McCamant (Miriam); four grandchildren, Michael, Shane, Jessica and Shelby McCamant.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Barbara A. McCamant.
