Louisville - Pastor James E. Miller, entered into rest on Sunday, September 2, 2018.
He was a native of Dallas, TX, and served in the US Army. He pastored the Lampton Baptist Church for 44 years, and after his retirement served as an associate pastor for Christ's Church for our Community.
He is survived by four children, Joel Miller (Michelle), David Miller (Michelle), JoAnna Harlan (Jeffrey) and DeAnna Miller-Wooden(Keith Wooden, Sr.); fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers and four sisters. His service will be on Saturday at 11 am at Immanuel Baptist Church (formerly Lampton Baptist), 850 S 4th Street, with entombment following in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 6pm until 8pm. at the church. Heady-Hardy Funeral Home will be responsible for the arrangements.

I remember the day I met Reverend Miller, he was so friendly and he was knowledgeable of the Bible. His memory was great. He could really preach! It was always a blessed and uplifting sermon! God bless the family at this very difficult time.
