

He was born April 12, 1933 in Louisville, the son of the late James F. Molloy, Jr and Anne (Tehan) Molloy.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Tom Molloy and sister, Joyce Delaney.
Dr. Molloy was a graduate of Xavier University, Cincinnati and of the University of Louisville Medical School. He served as a commissioned officer of the U.S Public Health (CDC) at the Florida State Board of Health Jacksonville, after which he completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He was a private practice Dermatologist / Dermatopathologist in downtown Louisville and had been Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at U of L School of Medicine. He was a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Association, American Medical Association, the Academy of Dermatology, and a proud member of the Downtown Rotary Club. He had also been a pianist in the Doctors Band. In retirement he had been an active member of Veritas, Bellarmine U, a volunteer dermatologist at the Portland Family Health Clinic and a member of the Donut Castle. He was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, and St. Al’s Aces.--
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and beloved wife, Linda C. Molloy; four children, Jennifer (Alan), Meg (Cameron), Suzanne (Terry) and Dave (Claudia); eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Dr. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2pm to 6pm on Friday April 1, 2022 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.
