James Y. Moore

Moore, James Y., 89, of Louisville passed away on September 21, 2015 at at Parkway Medical Center. He was a retired Accountant for the Abell Elevator Company and had worked for the Kroger Company in his early years. James was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, AMVETS Post 9 and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army . He was a graduate of Sullivan College School of Business.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Mae Moore.

Survivors include his brother, George A. Moore Jr. and multiple nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 760 Eastern Parkway. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 at Arch L. Heady Russman & Son Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak Street.
