James F. Powers

Powers, James F., 78, entered into eternal rest on November 23, 2015. James was an Army Veteran and retired from Bremner Biscuit Company after 28 years. He enjoyed fishing, restoring his 57’ Chevy and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Powers; and 2 sisters, Ruby Chylinski and Pearl Stevenson.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn Powers; 3 daughters, Susan Ruelas (Tony), Angela Rayhill (Todd) and Sandy Alvey (Bryan); 5 grandchildren, Jessica, T.J., Hannah, Ryan and Lena; 3 great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Hannah and Paisley; sister, Lillie O’Brien; best friend, Gail Maraman; dog, Sam; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 at 12 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 pm-8 pm and Monday from 10 am- 12 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of James can be made to Beechwood Baptist Church.
