James Everett Shepherd, 62, of South Louisville was born on July 5, 1955 in Louisville to the late Howard and Dorothy (Horvath) Shepherd and passed from this life on May 24, 2018. James was a retired employee of the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office and a member of Epiphany United Methodist Church. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Norma Carpenter; and a brother Mike Shepherd and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for James will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Shepherdsville. Jimmy was such a joy to be around. He had such a happy soul. Was sad when he left the clerks office. He is with his mom now, Rest in peace Jimmy.
