James Edward Warford

James retired from Louisville Cooperage Company, and was an avid U of L fan, loved to garden, and enjoyed housekeeping and cooking his potato soup was the families favorite.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Rhonda S. Warford, his parents Owen and Hallie Warford, several brothers and 2 sisters.

James is survived by his loving wife of 42 years; Mary, his children; Tammie L. Garrett (Gary), Michelle D. Rogers (Jorge), and Jeffery D. Warford (Imee), his Grandchildren; Jeremy L. Garrett (Christy), Alanna M. Machado, John Jorge Machado III, and Ashley M. Enix, his great-grandchildren; Blake and Jaxon Garrett, his siblings; Emma J. Murphy and Juanita Davis, and several nieces and nephews. James also leaves behind his loving pets Lita, Pup-Pup, Zipper, and Buddy Boy.

The family would like to thank all of his caretakers, Hosparus of Louisville, MD2U, and Medasist for being so wonderful, and a special thanks to Dr. Hadley and his staff.

A funeral service to honor the life of James will be held Monday at 2pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, with visitation Sunday from 2-8pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
